Telecommunication companies have finally fixed the date when the social media tax will be collected from any user that accesses social media. This tax will apply to social medial platforms that allow the use of messaging, video call and voice calls and dating sites.
This tax will be levied to every user of 200 Uganda shillings per day effective 1st July on Sunday to everyone and if one wants to pay for a week at once he/she will be charged 1,400 shillings and if one wants to pay for a whole month will be required to pay 6,000.
