The StarTimes Uganda Premier League made it's return six days ago, but Police's first game since the league took a break in late December last year due to the recently concluded CHAN comes on today 12th February,2021.

The Cops welcome Kyetume to the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo on Friday looking to maintain their 100% record against the Slaughters following the home and away victories over the side last term.

Prior to the break, the Cops were on a good run despite losing their most recent league game. The Kyetume visit presents Abdallah Mubiru's boys with an opportunity to return to winning ways.

"We know the challenge ahead of us, but we are prepared for it." Said Mubiru.

The worry though is the injuries that have struck the team. The team's top scorer Ben Ochen, Frank Tumwesigye, Mawadda Mawejje, Samuel Kayongo, Fahad Kizito are all injured added to the youngster Derrick Kakooza who's away with the Uganda Hippos.

"It is unfortunate we have a couple of injuries, but we are in position to raise a team that we believe will compete." Said the gaffer.

Our opponents are unbeaten this season, but they have won just two games of the five played thus far. Like earlier noted, the Cops were victors on both occasions they each other last season, and victory is what the boys will be aiming at especially given that the three points will take us to the top of the table.

Police are currently fourth in the league, with 10 points, two below league leaders UPDF, but a win tomorrow will ensure they reclaim the top.
