Da Nu Eagles boss Geoffrey Lutaaya has broken record and is currently flying on Cloud 9 after receiving National Unity Platform (NUP) party ticket to represent Kakuuto county in parliament while tussling it out with incumbent MP, Hon Christopher Kalemba.
Once a laughing stock by critics for scoring seemingly not appeasing results in his final UNEB exams, the "Oli Miss" singer remained unmoved no wonder he is now focused at serving the electorate in Kakuuto county under the NUP Party 'Umbrella' symbol.
"Dear Ugandans, I'm grateful for your heartfelt prayers. Finally, I'm in possession of the NUP Party ticket for the Kakuuto county parliamentary seat and we have just gotten started," Geoffrey Lutaaya said partly.
According to Lutaaya, it has not been easy to get a NUP party ticket given a forest of candidates competing for one ticket but thank God, he fulfilled the credentials needed by the vetting committee and now ready to serve his electorate in Kakuuto county.
"It hasn't been easy to get a NUP ticket no wonder a lot of petitions and dissatisfaction has been evident amongst the party's supporters not simply because they are faulting the party structures but because of the too much love for their party. I'm chosen as a representative and its time to kick off my political journey," added the jubilant singer.
