Jose Chameleone Summoned by the Anti-Corruption Court, Documents to Prove Bribery

Things are currently badly off for musician and Kampala Lord Mayor hopeful, Joseph Mayanja alias Jose Chameleone as he has now been summoned by Buganda Road Court anti-corruption division on charges of being in possession of uncustomed goods.

According to the summon issued on application of prosecution dated 7th July, 2020, the "Baliwa" singer is set to appear before the Chief Magistrates Court of Buganda Road attached to the anti-corruption division Kampala on the 30th day of July 2020 at 9:00 am to answer charges of being in possession of uncustomed goods contrally to section 200 (d) (iii) of the East African Community Customs Management Act 2004.

This is after Chameleone was found in possession of a vehicle, a Toyota Land Cruiser V8 model that was evading taxes worth shs137million after failing to show off the right documentation of the ride to the customs.

Other charges that the singer will be answering before court include failure to produce documents of his ride when he was required to do so by the customs department of the Uganda Revenue Authority among others.
