Mawogola FC Tightens Up their Squad with Adrian Sserugo, Geared Up for Masaza Cup

Ssembabule based side Mawogola have signed center back Adrian Sserugo as preparations for the Airtel 2020 Masaza cup tournament intensify.

The towering defender comes with the much needed experience having played for Buddu as Pokino's side won their maiden trophy in 2016.He was also part of Gomba lions as the side won a record fourth Masaza title in 2017.

Mawogola, the two time runners up of the tournament in 2004 and 2009 losing both finals to Gomba are vying for a maiden title and the signing for Simon "Dunga" Ddungu's side is the fifth thus far. The other signings include, Joel Opio, Ahmed Kayongo, Julius "Pirot" Pirwot and Bogere Abdullah. Mawogola has also a day ago extended Aggrey Atandu's stay at Muteesa's side. (Muteesa is the title given to Mawogola Saza chief).

Bulemeezi, the two time Masaza cup winners are the reigning champions having defeated Busiro 1:0 in the finals at Namboole last year, thanks to a goal from Loki Emmanuel that handed the Luweero based side a second title having won the first in 2012 when they beat Buwekula ar Nakivubo.

This year's edition only awaits the lock down to be lifted so as to kick off.
