Woodball Genius from Mubende: Ssensalo Charles is 14th in the world, 2nd in Uganda

Woodball is one of the latest sport in Uganda but has not spread to the country thus.Here is Ssensalo Charles a born of Mubende who has risen to heights in the sport.

Ssensalo, a graduate of Mechanical enginering at Ndejje University in 2019 is flaglantly rising to the top of the game. He started playing woodball in 2015 at St.Josephs Kisubi after completing his O’Level at St.Charles Lwanga, drawing inspiration from his teacher Mr. Bukenya Godfrey.

He has since then played for St.Josephs Technical institute Kisubi from 2015-2017. From here he joined Ndejje University who he is currently playing for and has represented on the national level. Ssensalo Charles has represented Uganda in the 2018 World Woodball cup held in Thailand where he finished 18th ,helping Uganda to finish 2nd before guiding Uganda to a second place finish in the Beach Woodball World Cup championship the next year (2019) held in Uganda. In this tournament, he finished 14th.

Ssensalo also represented Ndejje University in the 2018 East African University games that were held in Tanzania, finishing the top of the rest and also helping his side clinch the championship.
