The development of declaring the Venoms the champions of Uganda's top tier came after the Entebbbe side led the sixteen team log after 75% of the season was played. And due to the persistent COVID-19 pandemic, the country's football governing body FUFA declared Vipers the Champions.

In the second division (FUFA big league), the 75% mark of the matches had not been reached and on that note therefore, the first round group leaders of Elgon-MYDA and Rwenzori-UPDF have been promoted to the top tier for the season 2020/2021.

Elgon group leaders MYDA have 21 points from 11 matches, six wins and 3 draws whilst Rwenzori group leaders UPDF have 23 points from seven wins and two draws.

The third team will be determined by a play off between Kiboga young, Kataka FC, Ndejje University and Kigezi Home boys.

Kiboga young (17 points) and Kataka FC (14 points) finished 2nd and 3rd respectively in Elgon group whereas Kitara (22 points), Ndejje University (22 points) finished second and third respectively in Rwenzori group.

Meanwhile, the FUFA Women's Super League, the FUFA Women Elite League, Regional league, Junior's League and District Leagues have all been counselled. A possibility of the Uganda Cup continuing still stands with a thorough monitoring of the situation to be first undertaken.
