Golden Band singer Catherine Kusasira Sserugga has pleaded to the government for a financial compensation to all artistes that were affected by the forceful postponement of their music shows during the ongoing pandemic.
A lot local artistes and events promoters were affected by the presidential directives to stop all music shows and events in the country for the next 30 plus days in a bid of normalising the health condition of the citizens.
"Mama Kabina', like Eddy Kenzo is one of the artistes currently chocking on debts and loans after the presidential direction to stop events and music shows and now is pleading to the president to intervene with a financial handshake and help them settle up their deficits with the banks and other financial institutions.
The Minister of State for Condolences had organised two shows on Easter at Calendar Bar and Joggies but all had to be postponed due to the ongoing pandemic.
"We are pleading to President Museveni for a financial handshake to all artistes whose shows where affected by the pandemic since many had got bank loans in a bid of paying back and are now fearing arrest," Said Catherine Kusasira during an exclusive TV interview.
