The Pepsi Uganda University football league has had one match in group C as former champions Kampala University (KU) saw off Busitema University with a 2:0 scoreline.
Kimwero Shamiru gave the hosts the lead in the 25th minute before Omirambe Brian doubled the lead in the 60th Minute. The win lifts KU to second place on four points after their first win of the season.
Busitema who have now lost their second match in three matches descend to third with three points as Uganda Martyrs University remain at the bottom of the table with only one point.
Action resumes on Sunday 15th March, 2020 as third placed Mbarara City in group A host second placed Kabale University.
The league will then have a two days recess i.e Monday and Tuesday with action continuing on Wednesday 18th March, 2020 as Gulu University host Muni University in Gulu.
