Ugandans will have a chance to watch African football stars play football at Mandela National Stadium Namboole in a match slated to takeplace on 22nd March 2020.
The team is expected to iclude a number of many other established retired players like; Emmanuel Eboue Diomansy Kamara, Didier Zokora, Loman Tresser Lualua, El Hadji Diouf, Taribo West, Mohamed Sissoko among others.
The Uganda Cranes legends team will be captained by former Uganda Cranes captain and current Uganda national teams manager Geofrey Massa. The team will feature former Uganda cranes players like Geoffrey Sserunkuma, Brian Umony, Hassan Mubiru, Steven Bengo, Simeon Masaba, Robert Ssentongo, Dan Wagaluka, Hakim Magumba, Patrick Ochan (currently playing for Kyetume FC), Noah Babadi Kasule, Vincent Kayizzi (currently at Kyetume Fc) and saddam Ibrahim (now at KCCA) and many more other players.
The match is organized as one of the ways to celebrate the friendly relationship between Uganda and France in what is dubbed as the “Uganda-France Week”.

Children of some local schools in Kampala and a Rugby tournament will also be conducted.
The Uganda-France Week is organized by Uganda Olympics Committee, French embassy, FUFA, Alliance Francaise Kampala, Uganda Rugby Union all spearheaded by France Ambassador to Uganda, Jules-Armand Aniambossou. The players are expected to arrive in Uganda on 20th February, 2020, have a training at namboole on 21st ahead of the clash the next day 22nd February,2020.
