Match day two of the Pepsi Uganda University football league group stages has reached the second day as Islamic University In Uganda (IUIU) hosted and beat Kumi University 2:1.
Wanyaye Noah scored for the moslems in the 48th minute before Musema Ramathan doubled the lead two minutes later through a penalty kick. Okanyum Jorem scored a consolation for Kumi University with five minutes left to play.
The loss is Kumi University’s second of the season after they lost their opening match with an identical score to Kampala International University.
Reigning champions Uganda Christian University tops the group with four points, level with second placed Kampala International University separated by only goal difference (1). Islamic University In Uganda now stand second with three points with Kumi University at the bottom.
