Uganda Revenue Authority FC have on Friday 21st February, 2020 outwitted three time league champions Vipers SC edging them in a four goal thriller with a 3:1 win.
Sam Ssimbwa's side scored through Said Kyeyune's 14th minute strike before Daniel Isiagi doubled the lead four minutes later. Fred Kajoba coached Vipers halved the lead ten minutes to hour mark but URA FC cemented the win with a 73rd minute strike from Cromwell Rwothomio.
The loss by Vipers leaves their title hopes in jeopardy as KCCA who play host to Express in the next 24 hours can close the gap to only two points with a win against the Red Army.
On the other side, URA closed their gap against third placed SC Villa to only three and only eight adrift of second placed KCCA FC with seven matches to go.
At Maroons Stadium, home side Maroons FC succumbed to a 1:0 loss to visitors Busoga United. Ssekulima Paul embarked on a well laid ball from Isma Mugulusi to score the only match's game.
Despite the win, Busoga Unired who took their points tally of the season to 34 remained fifth with 11 wins, 3 draws and 9 losses.
Action continues on Saturday 22nd with five fixtures.
