Already in the country after a long spell in the US enjoying musical and acting asylum, legendary Hip Hip sensation Ernest Nsimbi alias GNL Zamba has finally revealed the list of his top Ugandan Hip Hop artistes but surprisingly, the overrated Gravity Omutujju misses the cut.
Zamba who travelled back home with his zungu wife Miriam Tamar from USA so as to give hype to their new music album dubbed 'Nsimbi' has on Friday 29th digested more about the current local Hip Hop music industry during an exclusive interview with one of the media stations in town revealing that the genre according to him is comprised of both the untalented and talented Hip Hop artistes.
When asked to list at least the talented Hip Hop artistes currently raising the Ugandan flag high, the 'Story ya Luka' singer without hesitation has done so but surprisingly leaving out Gravity Omutujju who on several occasions claims to be the incomparable King of the Uganda Hip Hop music Genre.
"If we are to analyze the local Hip Hop music industry, we have got the untalented and the talented artistes with too much charisma and spirit for the game. I don't have time to talk about the untalented Caz they are promote mediocrity in this industry," Said GNL Zamba.
1. Jim Nola MC Abednego.
Though the media is not crediting him, GNL has revealed that this guy is a very good lyricist who gives his trucks the real punchline during the writing.
2. Fefe Buusi.
He is also really good and talented according to GNL Zamba.
3. Fresh Kid UG.
According to GNL, Fresh Kid is talented and has a great future ahead of him and given the fact that he is also doing well at school, he is another player to watch out for.
4. Recho Rey
She is also another Hip Hop master piece according to GNL Zamba.
5. Big Tril.
GNL Zamba also aknowledged Big Tril Kaiza giving fact that he currently has one of the hottest songs in Africa dubbed Party After Party.
