UPL Results: Unstoppable Vipers SC Beats URA to Make 13 Matches Unbeaten

The Kitende based side has continued to pose threats and questions on who will bring its unbeaten run to an end.

With two matches remaining to the end of the first round of the Star Times Uganda Premier League (SUPL), the Venoms are the only unbeaten side in 13 matches with ten wins and three draws.

A 64th minute tap in by the experienced Dan Mzee Sserunkuuma assisted by Innocent Wafula was enough to had the home side a slim but important 1:0 win over the tax collectors who they had not beaten in league for two years.

The win takes Vipers' points tally of the season to 33 whereas it is URA's third loss of the season in eleven matches with three wins and five draws. The Visitors looked set to lead the match two minutes into second half through Daniel Isiagi but but his efforts ricocheted off the cross bar.

At Kakyeeka Stadium, home side Mbarara city were 2:1 winners against Onduparaka FC thanks to a brace from Solomon Okwalinga as Kakooza pulled one for Onduparaka.

At the Mighty Arena in Jinja, Busoga United played to a one all stalemate with Maroons with Steven Mukwala scoring for the later and Boban Zirintuusa for the former.

At Bombo Military grounds, visitors Wakiso Giants lectured Kyetume FC with a 3:0 thumping, thanks to goals from Muwonge Amos 44', Abraham Nduggwa 78', and Vianne Ssekajugo 90+3'.

At Star Times Stadium Lugogo, home side Proline FC beat Bright Stars 2:1. Proline FC scored through
Edirisa Lubega 32' and Hakim Kiwanuka 47'.
