Media personality and YouTuber Allan Cruz has broken his silence after being fired from BBS Terefayina, ending a long-standing 9-year run at the Buganda-owned TV station. He has revealed what happened and why he was hated so much.
In an exclusive chat with Kasuku, Cruz revealed that the decision to let him go came out of the blue — and hit him hard.
“Yes, I was fired. I didn’t even see it coming. Working for other people is unpredictable,” Cruz said, visibly still processing the sudden exit.
Cruz had become a fan favorite thanks to his role on Ffe Tuliko, a lively Saturday show he initially co-hosted with Momo19. After she left for Spark TV, Cruz carried on with another co-host and remained one of the station’s most recognizable faces.
However, even his consistent performance couldn’t shield him from the chopping block.
While Cruz chose to keep the full reasons behind his firing private, he confirmed that he had no warning and is now trying to realign his career.
“At least now I know what my next move is,” he said, noting that he will now dedicate his energy to building his YouTube brand and working on his acting career through his comedy label, Maama Brighton.
Despite the shocking exit, Cruz is keeping his head high — ready to bet on himself and create his own lane.
“Sometimes a push — even a painful one — is what you need to find your true path,” he said with a smile.
