Renowned Ugandan Artist Don Pitya has strongly condemned the recent violent attack on fellow artist Fyno, who was brutally beaten by a gang of thieves. The incident, which has left the music community in shock, highlights the growing concerns over the safety of musicians and public figures in the country.
In a statement, Don Pitya expressed deep concern over the rising cases of insecurity, emphasizing that artists, like all citizens, deserve protection.
“It is unacceptable for criminals to target musicians who are simply working to entertain and uplift society. The government must step up and ensure that such attacks do not continue,” he said.
He further called upon authorities to strengthen security measures, particularly for public figures who often face threats due to their visibility. “We need a safer environment where artists can freely pursue their careers without fearing for their lives,” Don Pitya added.
