A bitter fight has broken out between Princess Amirah, a singer, and Dr. Aisha Ruth Kasolo, one of the wives of Hon. Haruna Kasolo Kyeyune, the Minister of State for Microfinance and Small Enterprises, over claims of marriage and recognition.
The tension began when Dr. Aisha, in an interview, discussed how she has maintained peace and happiness in her polygamous marriage, highlighting mutual respect among the legally wedded wives of the minister. However, she dismissed Princess Amirah, who has a child with the minister, claiming she is not legally recognized as a wife.
"Women should learn these things; making you pregnant doesn’t make you his wife. Even when you have his children, you still won’t be listed with the registrar. I do not know who she is. Go to the marriage registrar and look out for Kasolo’s wives. We do not know her," Dr. Aisha said emphatically.

In a sharp response, Princess Amirah refuted Dr. Aisha’s claims, asserting that she is married to Hon. Kasolo. Amirah disclosed that her marriage was conducted through a private Nikkah ceremony, deliberately kept low-profile to avoid negativity and sabotage.
"He paid my bride price and even married me. I’m not scared of claiming him because he is my husband. If she doesn’t know me; I do not know her either. She doesn’t need to know me because she is not my husband. The person who married me knows me, and she needs to take a chill pill," Amirah said, confidently defending her position.
