Despite registering a lower-than-expected audience at his concert held at Lugogo Cricket Oval, musician Big Eye Starboss remains calm as he says that he had planned and budgeted for the event, ensuring no financial losses, regardless of the turnout.
In a post-concert interview, Big Eye expressed gratitude to those who purchased tickets and attended his performance.
He noted, "That happens when you do not plan and budget for the concert. They do not know because they have not looked into my sales. I have been selling tickets for three months, and people have been buying them."
Big Eye’s concert attracted attention because of his past with audiences, notably when he was subjected to bottle-throwing incidents at previous performances. These episodes significantly impacted his career, but his persistence and resilience allowed him to rebuild his reputation.
He attributed his resurgence partly to the influence of Bobi Wine, leader of the National Unity Platform (NUP), whose backing helped change public perception. Big Eye also credited his own determination, saying, "Big Eye has stood strong till today, like it or not. You do not know what it means to me coming from where I came from and people welcoming me this way."
