Uganda’s favorite picnic festival, Roast and Rhyme, is back with a fresh twist for its 22nd edition, dubbed the Soul on Strings edition. Set to take place on Sunday, November 3rd, at Jahazi Pier, Munyonyo, this highly anticipated event promises an unforgettable day filled with live acoustic performances, mouthwatering grilled meats, and the stunning backdrop of Lake Victoria.
Headlining the event is Uganda’s legendary vocalist Iryn Namubiru, renowned for her soulful voice and captivating performances. Fresh from her critically acclaimed Timeless Experience concert, Iryn is ready to take the stage again, bringing her signature blend of enchanting melodies to Roast and Rhyme for the first time.
With her at the forefront, festival-goers can expect an intimate and soulful music experience that perfectly complements the lakeside setting.
The picnic-style festival invites attendees to bring their mats, grills, and favorite meats, turning the grassy lawns into a social grilling extravaganza. Whether it's beef, chicken, or special family recipes, revelers will enjoy showcasing their barbecue skills while soaking in the acoustic sounds of some of Uganda’s best soulful artists. The festival’s relaxed vibe, combined with the cool lake breeze, is set to make this edition truly unique.
