One hit wonder, Fresh Daddy, the father to young rapper Fresh Kid, has opened up about how his music career completely turned his life around, from a poor village man to a rich performing musician that stepped on big stages because of his ‘Mazike’ song.

Appearing on an interview, he revealed that he ventured into music at a time when life had hit him hard—he was already a single father, struggling to provide for his family after his wife left and remarried due to financial hardships.

Despite these challenges, Fresh Daddy, born Paul Mutabazi, said that music has always been in his blood. He may not have gotten the chance to pursue it earlier in life, but when the opportunity knocked, he took it with both hands—and it paid off.

“When Fresh Kid blew up, I saw my chance to also step into the spotlight. I knew I had talent, and I wasn’t about to let that slip away,” he shared. His breakout song, “Mazike,” became an instant hit, bringing him gigs, a steady income, and new business ventures, allowing him to provide for his children with food, shelter, and education.

“I’m so thankful for ‘Mazike.’ It really changed my life. Suddenly, I was performing at shows and making money,” Fresh Daddy reflected.

However, his music career seems to have taken a backseat lately. While he insists he's still focused on his craft, fans have noticed the lack of new releases from the once-buzzing artist.
