Uganda's music legend, Joseph Mayanja, aka Chameleone, might just have a road in Kampala named after him—if his fans can rally and fullfill the huge challenge that has been set by the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA.)

All this started when journalist Francis Isano made a bold suggestion in a Sunday tweet, stating, "History will tell that Uganda has (Jose Chameleone). Dear KCCA, we demand a Joseph Mayanja Road." The Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) responded, but with a twist.

KCCA's reply, though cheeky, set a monumental task for Isano and the fans: "Isano, get a million likes on this tweet, and we discuss," the agency tweeted. A million likes for a road name? Challenge accepted! Isano and Chameleone’s supporters from all corners of East Africa and beyond jumped on the bandwagon. But with just 4,000 likes gathered so far, the goal seems like a distant dream.

While the ‘Million Likes Challenge’ may be a bit of a stretch, Chameleone’s legendary status in Uganda is not. Over the weekend, he reaffirmed why he’s often called the G.O.A.T. of Ugandan music with an unforgettable performance at his sold-out "Legend in Gold" concert, marking 25 years in the industry.

Held at the luxurious Kampala Serena Hotel, this was no ordinary show—it was a spectacle!

The concert was not only a celebration of Chameleone’s talent but a reunion of East Africa's finest. Tanzanian stars Bushoke and Ferooz joined him on stage for renditions of *Maama Rhoda* and *Sivyo Ndivyo*. Ugandan heavyweights Bebe Cool, Weasel, Mesach Semakula, and D-Star also made special appearances, while Fenon Events created an epic visual and audio experience that set a new standard for live concerts in Uganda.
