Singer Bruno Kiggundu aka Bruno K has jumped into the fray, defending fellow smartwire, Shakib Cham Lutaaya amid a storm of criticism from his own wife Zari Hassan, who questioned what else he brings to the table apart from his Semudondoli.
The drama kicked off when Zari questioned Shakib's audacity to criticize her decision to invite her ex, Diamond Platnumz, to their daughter’s birthday bash. Zari, who has been outspoken about her stance, suggested that Shakib, who she claims doesn’t contribute financially, should have no say in such decisions.
Bruno K, however, is not having any of it. He’s come out swinging in support of Shakib, arguing that a man’s worth isn’t solely measured by his wallet. According to Bruno K, respect isn’t something that’s bought—it’s earned, and every man deserves it, regardless of his financial status.
"A man is not supposed to be submissive. And a man will demand for answers and respect no matter how small his pockets are. If you think he is not man enough don’t allow him undress you.
Nasako omukono chairman wa asosiwesoni"- he posted.
The debate has set social media ablaze, with users passionately taking sides. On one hand, you’ve got those who support Zari, believing that financial contributions should grant a man a say in household affairs. On the other, Bruno K’s supporters rally behind the notion that respect and mutual understanding should transcend monetary concerns.
