Bizonto comedy group have reportedly bitterly fallen out over a cash offer from Gen. Salim Saleh, claiming that Sabazooto ate alot of Money without sharing with fellow members.

The group, known for its controversial and often opposition-leaning sketches, is now facing internal discord as members clash over whether to accept the president’s money.

Bizonto has gained fame for their sharp political commentary, often aligning with the National Unity Platform (NUP) led by Bobi Wine. This allegiance has not come without its challenges, especially when it comes to government incentives offered to artists.

This disagreement has sparked a heated debate, highlighting the different opinions and values within the comedy ensemble.

Government grants for artists have always been a contentious issue in Uganda. Many refuse the money due to political differences, viewing it as a compromise of their principles. For Bizonto, this dilemma is even more complex as it involves multiple voices and perspectives within the group.

Entertainment analyst Kasuku has weighed in on the matter, suggesting that if Bizonto cannot reconcile their differences, they may face another split – their third. This situation underscores the broader tension between financial support and political loyalty that many Ugandan artists navigate.
