In a dramatic turn of events, Ugandan singer Ykee Benda was over the weekend involved in a heated altercation with security officers just moments before performing at the All VIP Miss Uganda beauty pageant at Kampala Sheraton Hotel Gardens.
The trouble began when the "Malaika" star was asked to remove his hat and undergo a security check, a standard procedure for all guests. Accompanied by an unidentified woman, Ykee Benda refused to comply, leading to a verbal spat that quickly escalated into a physical confrontation.
Witnesses were left in shock as punches were thrown between the singer and the security personnel. Amid the chaos, Ykee Benda, clearly irate, boasted about his status and threatened to get the officers fired for humiliating him in front of the lady and onlookers. His companion added to the commotion, shouting insults at the security team.
Despite the melee, Ykee Benda eventually made his way into the hotel gardens. However, the head of security, who was initially absent, was furious upon learning of the breach and ordered his team to eject the singer. Their efforts were in vain as Ykee Benda managed to take the stage as scheduled, delivering a high-energy performance.
As of now, neither Ykee Benda nor his management has commented on the incident. Stay tuned for updates on this unfolding saga.
