KFM’s presenter Faiza Salima, better known as Faiza Fabz, along with Olupot Benard Ewalu (popularly known as Beewol), Kanzira Thomas, and a group of anti-corruption activists, have been granted bail by the Nakawa Chief Magistrates Court.

The story began on July 23rd, 2024, when Faiza Fabz and her fellow activists were arrested for participating in the #March2Parliament anti-corruption protests. Their activism and outspokenness led to their detention and subsequent remand to Luzira Prison, sparking a wave of support from fans and fellow activists alike.

Today’s court session was a highly anticipated event, with numerous supporters flocking to the Nakawa Chief Magistrates Court to show their solidarity. The atmosphere was electric as the activists’ lawyers passionately presented their bail applications, arguing for the release of their clients.

The courtroom erupted in relief and celebration as the Chief Magistrate granted bail to Faiza Fabz, Beewol, Thomas, and Edgar. However, not all news was joyous, as Aljab Musinguzi’s bail application was denied, leaving a somber note on the otherwise celebratory proceedings.

Fans of Faiza Fabz are eagerly awaiting her return to the airwaves, excited to hear her vibrant voice back on KFM. The support for these activists underscores the strong public sentiment against corruption and the desire for justice and transparency in governance.
