Marking one year since his passing on June 7, 2023, due to health complications at Stana Medical Centre, the event promises to be a fitting tribute to a man whose contributions left an indelible mark on Uganda's entertainment industry.
Kato Lubwama, whose career reached the pinnacle of the performing arts, is fondly remembered for his creativity, innovation, and social impact. In his honor, fellow creators and fans will gather for an event aptly titled “Kato Lubwama: A Forever Legacy.”
The celebration, themed "Honoring a Legacy of Creativity, Innovation, and Social Impact," will begin at 2:00 PM and is expected to draw numerous industry players and devoted fans of Kato. Attendees can look forward to performances of Kato’s beloved songs and a variety of other entertainment options, all designed to celebrate the enduring influence of a true icon.
