The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has officially confirmed the release date for the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) 2023/2024 results. Reliable sources within UNEB disclosed that all systems are go, and the long-awaited results are scheduled for release on Thursday, 15th February 2024, at the prestigious State Lodge in Nakasero.
The delay in the release, according to an insider, was attributed to a series of unavoidable circumstances, ranging from coordinating a meeting with the Minister of Education and Sports, Janet Kataha Museveni, to the meticulous process of data entry at UNEB. Our exclusive sources within the UNEB circles shared that despite these challenges, everything is now in order for a smooth release this week.
Stakeholder meetings, crucial for ensuring accuracy and quality assurance, have been ongoing since last week. These meetings aim to eliminate any potential discrepancies in the results and guarantee that the figures announced align with the Minister of Education and Sports' expectations.
A confidential source assured, "We are done with everything, only a few minor issues caused a slight delay—from arranging a meeting with our Minister to compiling and entering data into the system. But rest assured, the results will be released this week."
It's worth noting that UNEB has faced challenges in promptly updating the public through social media and its website regarding the UCE 2023 results. The board has also been under pressure from parents eager to receive the results to adequately prepare and arrange school fees.
In a similar vein, the release of the Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) results for 2023 experienced a delay of over a week, as UNEB encountered difficulties scheduling a meeting with the First Lady, who also serves as the Minister of Education and Sports, Janet Museveni.
