In an exclusive interview on Galaxy TV, singer Ava Peace, born Namugonza Maureen Peace, spilled the beans on a cringe-worthy chapter from her early days in the music scene when she staged a music concert and no fan turned up.
Recalling her humble beginnings, Ava recounted the misadventure that was her first-ever concert, hosted in the hallowed halls of her church.
Back then, with just a single unreleased song to her name, the spirited songstress spared no effort to infuse the event with pulsating energy and allure, going the extra mile with banners and all the trimmings.
Optimistic for a turnout of epic proportions, Ava's excitement was swiftly deflated when the grim reality struck – the only attendees were her nearest and dearest, comprising her aunts and siblings.
In the face of this awkward twist of fate, Ava Peace demonstrated admirable resilience. Rather than succumbing to embarrassment, she used the experience as fuel to propel her closer to her aspirations of musical stardom.
Undeterred by the underwhelming debut, Ava relentlessly honed her craft, transforming herself into a prominent figure within Uganda's music landscape. Today, she stands tall among the country's leading female musicians.
