Fallen Singer Evelyn Lagu was yesterday (20th Sept.) laid to rest at her ancestral home in Kalungu district amidst cries and prayers from family, friends and well wishers, here we bring you moments you missed.
The local council leaders decided to rename a full road in honor of the deceased songstress who's battled a multiplicity of ailments for the past 6 years.
At the start of this week on Monday morning 18 September 2023, Evelyn Lagu succumbed to her longtime illness of Kidney and Heart failure.
The singer’s body was laid at her home in Bujuuko for two nights, as the National Theatre Steadfastly declined to host the singer’s body over unclear reasons.
As Evelyn’s body lay at her home, several musicians including Eddy Kenzo, Spice Diana, Sheebah, Cindy Sanyu, Rema Namakula and many others turned up and performed as a way of celebrating the singer as well as paying their last respects.
