From a simple mchomo hawker to a prominent media personality and now a succesful event organizer, Sureman Ssegawa staged the first edition of Mubende Festival - "Tovimba nga Tova Mubende" and it was a total success as it was filled up even before dark.
Mubende Festival first edition was held on 28th January 2023 at Kasana - Mubende stadium where revellers paid UGx 10k adults and UGx 5k for the kids to enjoy from morning to evening.
Doors were open as early as mid-day and everyone enjoyed the fullest with kids enjoying Bouncing castles, games and more, while as adults enjoyed nonstop drinks and music from top performers across Uganda.
Some of the artistes that performed included; Gravity Omutujju, Daxx Kartel, Baza Baza, Martha Mukisa,Vian Mosha, Shaxx Mc, Mr Large, Bizonto Comedy, Ruth Ngendo, Baby Deo, Bruno & Stuart and so many more.
The Nvamubende Festival is aimed to lift Mubende talents to the Globe and that is the reason as to why this is scheduled to be an annual event as the second edition will be held every Year In January with the Next one being in January 2024.
During the festival, a football Galla was also held and the winning team was awarded with a Goat to celebrate the victory.

Sureman Ssegawa has Become himself a brand Of Mubende transforming the Town as awhole. Sureman used to be a simple Mchomo Hawker along the Mubende Highway at Simons Foodmart before he trained and joined radio.
Currently, he works with Radio Simba and KBS TV as he also doubles as the official Brand Ambassador Of KDB Kyarenga Tonto.
