Musician Ssewa Ssewa and Janzi Band are inviting music lovers to support their charity efforts through The Janzi Rendition, an Afro Soul and Reggae live music event featuring Professor Joewi and special guest Sama Sojah.
Beyond the music, the event is also a donation drive, with organisers calling on well-wishers to contribute items that can support people in need. Requested donations include clothes, shoes, food, toys, stationery, money and any other items people are able to give.
The initiative aligns with Janzi Band’s charity work under Janzi4Hope, also known as Janzi for Hope, which focuses on supporting children with disabilities and autism-related needs.
The band has previously supported children at Home of Hope Uganda in Jinja. In 2022, Janzi Band held a charity activity at the facility to mark World Autism Day on April 2.
The latest call for donations reflects the initiative’s continued efforts to mobilise support for vulnerable children and communities through public participation.
The event’s promotional post also mentions personalities including Patrick Salvado, Dr Hilary Okello and Irene Ntale, alongside The Emin Pasha Hotel.
Through The Janzi Rendition, organisers are bringing together live music and charitable giving, encouraging fans and well-wishers to contribute whatever they can towards the cause.
