Ugandan veteran actor and dramatist Charles James Ssenkubuge, popularly known as Siasa, is mourning the death of his wife, Agnes Ssenkubuge, who passed away recently at their home in Makindye.
Agnes had reportedly been dealing with fibroid-related health complications. She underwent surgery, was later discharged and continued receiving treatment at home before she was found deceased by her nurse.
The couple had been married for more than a decade and had children together. Her death has since drawn messages of condolence from members of Uganda’s entertainment community.
Burial arrangements for Agnes Ssenkubuge are underway, with mourners gathering at the family home in Makindye.
A requiem Mass and funeral service are scheduled for Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at Christ the King Church in Kampala, where Agnes was reportedly a member of the church choir.
Following the service, a formal vigil is scheduled to continue at the Senkubuge family home in Makindye.
Agnes will be laid to rest on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at the Senkubuge ancestral home in Ssanda-Nakawuka, Busiro.
Her passing marks a painful moment for the Senkubuge family and the wider Ugandan entertainment fraternity, which has continued to share condolences with Siasa and his family.
