Ugandan singer King Saha has started construction work on the unfinished house of late comedian Kapere Lufotose, also known as Yokana Mbuuse, as he fulfils a promise to complete the family home.

Kapere died recently before completing the house project. During mourning events at NUP headquarters around November 2–3, King Saha pledged to finish the building and assured the comedian’s widow, Mama Trump, that he would do so with or without contributions from others.

Saha revealed that they had planned a free concert to raise money for the construction, but Kapere passed away before the event could take place. He also promised additional support for the bereaved family.

Construction works were confirmed to have started on November 5, 2026, with the singer now taking steps to honour his commitment. The gesture has attracted praise from members of the public.
