Gossip corners have been on fire ever since Pretty Nicole landed herself a juicy gig at BABA TV. The young TikToker, who was unveiled last week as the new host of the Band Show, officially kicked off her duties but the news didn’t sit well with many viewers.

Social media critics immediately started firing shots, asking whether Nicole even has the “papers” to qualify for such a job. But trust Ugandan celebs — they’ve already jumped in to defend her.

Next Media’s Douglas Lwanga, one of the biggest names in entertainment journalism, told off critics, stressing that these days skills matter way more than degrees.

“Media space today is more about what you can do, not what you studied,” Lwanga explained, adding that TV bosses are more interested in how many eyeballs you bring to a show than which university gave you a certificate.

And guess who else backed her up? None other than Gagamel boss Bebe Cool. The Kasepiki hitmaker said Ugandans should actually be happy for Nicole instead of dragging her. According to him, the girl was previously jobless and could have easily ended up in the wrong paths.

“Now that she’s employed, let’s be grateful her life is changing,” Bebe Cool insisted.

Love her or hate her, Pretty Nicole is clearly winning.
