Ugandan hip-hop fans have something exciting to look forward to as FTM Records rapper Mclevi officially kicks off the rollout for his upcoming album, MCLEANER MIXTAPE.
The fast-rising rapper has released the project’s lead single, “Where You Been” (Blessing), together with its official music video, giving fans a powerful first taste of what to expect from the forthcoming album.
Penned by Mclevi, the track was produced by Theinkredibo at FTM Records, while the visuals were directed by Blendin.
“Where You Been” is more than just another hip-hop release. The inspirational track explores themes of discipline, self-structure, resilience, and the survival instinct that shapes people through life’s toughest moments.

With hard-hitting lyrics and compelling visuals, Mclevi delivers a message that speaks to anyone striving to overcome challenges while staying true to themselves.
Known for blending Trap, Hip-Hop, and Drill, Mclevi has built his career independently under FTM Records, representing the streets of Kampala with a sound that is uniquely his own.
Raised between the church and the concrete streets, his music reflects two different worlds that have shaped his identity. From the suburbs to the slums, every experience has influenced his artistry, creating a style that stands out in Uganda’s hip-hop scene.
For Mclevi, “From the Mud” is not just a slogan—it’s his reality. It represents where he came from, the struggles that molded him, and the mindset that continues to fuel his journey.
Rather than telling his entire story through words, the rapper believes his music speaks for itself.
With the release of “Where You Been,” anticipation is now building for MCLEANER MIXTAPE, a project Mclevi describes as a bold statement after years of putting in the work.
If the lead single is anything to go by, fans can expect an authentic body of work filled with raw storytelling, energetic production, and Mclevi’s signature sound.
