It’s finally happening. Abeeka Band are stepping into new waters with their first-ever independent concert, and the industry is already paying attention as fans anticipate to enjoy a new experience.
Dubbed Roots & Vibes, the concert is set to take place on May 2nd at Ndere Cultural Centre and this isn’t just another show, it’s a start of something bigger.
The announcement was made during a packed press conference in Kampala, bringing together media, sponsors, and key players in the entertainment scene. For Abeeka Band, this marks five years of grinding, growth, and building a name as one of Uganda’s tightest live bands.

Heavyweight brands like Tusker Malt Lager and The Singleton are backing the concert, signaling just how big this moment is not just for the band, but for Uganda’s live music culture.
Speaking at the presser, the band made it clear that this concert is bigger than them.
“This is not just about us. It’s about the movement of live music in Uganda,” they shared.
Even Aly Allibhai of Talent Africa Group backed the vision, calling it a shift towards more intentional, experience-driven concerts.
“This is where the industry is headed,” he said.
Expect a full experience on the night live band magic, reworked Ugandan classics, crowd favorites, and a special performance from Joanita Kawalya.
