Renowned social media analyst and critic Frank Ntambi is finally out of the coolers after being granted a cash bail today, ending his one-week stay behind bars.
The outspoken critic was nabbed last week and held at Kabalagala Police Station over statements his accuser claimed were “baseless and untrue.” From there, Ntambi found himself whisked off to Luzira Prison to await his second court appearance.
This morning, the drama shifted to Makindye Court, where his bail application was heard. Sureties were paraded, checked, and approved before Ntambi was allowed to go home—of course, after parting with UGX 500,000 cash bail. His sureties will cough up UGX 5 million each if he dares play hide and seek with court.
Ntambi’s lawyer, the no-nonsense Counsel Nalukoola, assured everyone that his client will follow the court process to the letter, stressing that they’re ready for whatever comes next.

For now, Ntambi is out and about, but with eyes still glued on him.
