Security agencies have reportedly impounded several luxury vehicles belonging to outgoing Speaker of Parliament Anita Annet Among during a major operation at her residence in Kigo through a joint security operation, involving officers from CID, and UPDF.

This raid reportedly targeted Among’s high-end vehicle fleet as part of ongoing investigations into alleged illicit enrichment, unexplained wealth, corruption, and money laundering.

Among the vehicles seized was a 2025 Rolls-Royce Cullinan reportedly valued at over Shs 3.4 billion and bearing registration number UA 426 EH.

Authorities also impounded at least one luxury Range Rover carrying personalized “AAA” number plates, with reports indicating additional vehicles linked to the politician were also targeted during the operation.

Eyewitnesses say the vehicles were loaded onto police car carriers and transported under tight security to Naguru Police Headquarters for forensic examination despite heavy rain during the operation.

Security operatives reportedly cordoned off sections around the Mutungo-Kigo residence as the exercise unfolded, attracting attention from residents and online observers.

The latest development comes amid growing investigations linked to a petition questioning Among’s declared assets and wealth accumulation, including scrutiny surrounding the Rolls-Royce reportedly imported through the Anita Foundation.

The outgoing Speaker recently withdrew from the race for the Speakership position, a move many political observers linked to the mounting investigations and pressure surrounding the allegations.

As of now, no criminal charges have officially been filed against Anita Among, and authorities say the seized vehicles are currently being treated as exhibits pending further forensic analysis.
