Uganda is getting ready to bid farewell to Cedric Babu Ndilima, a man who wore many hats—media personality, sports boss, political hopeful, and beloved son of the soil and the official funeral schedule is now out.
After news of his heartbreaking passing on Saturday, May 31st, at Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi, plans are underway to bring Cedric’s body back home—expected either Wednesday or Thursday this week. But even before the body lands, the mourning has already started.
His Kololo home has turned into a prayer place, and the full funeral lineup stretches all the way into next weekend.
Here’s how the nation will say goodbye to Cedric Babu:

5PM each day — Prayers at his home in Kololo, Plot 1 Fumu Close
- Wednesday, June 4
6PM — Mass at Captain Francis Babu’s residence in Naguru
8PM — Vigil begins at the same venue

PM — Another Mass and night vigil at Naguru
- Friday, June 6

The Patriotic League of Uganda, where Cedric served as Vice Chairman for Kampala, is coordinating with the family and friends to ensure a befitting send-off.
