Old footage of Ugandan musician and television personality Crysto Panda has resurfaced online, taking fans back to his early days in the entertainment industry.
The 2014 clip, recorded during WBS TV’s school quiz show, features the artiste—then known as Crysto Luv—interacting with students as he confidently engages the audience to enthusiastic applause.
More than a decade later, Crysto Panda has built a career spanning television and music. He went on to host NTV’s T-Nation before establishing himself as a musician with several popular releases.
Among his notable songs is the Sheebah-assisted remix of “Kyoyina Omanya,” which helped strengthen his profile in Uganda’s music scene.
The throwback footage has now attracted attention partly because of how little his appearance appears to have changed over the years. Fans have been joking about his seemingly timeless look, with some humorously suggesting that his long career makes him appear as though he has been around for generations.
One fan even joked that Crysto Panda might have witnessed Jesus’ resurrection, while others praised the musician for what they described as ageing gracefully.
The nostalgia comes as Crysto Panda continues to make headlines with his music. His latest collaboration, “Wansigalamu” featuring Lutty Neika and Pawaboy AB, is currently topping Uganda’s YouTube trends.
From a school quiz show appearance as Crysto Luv to his present-day music career as Crysto Panda, the resurfaced clip has given fans another look at the artiste’s long journey in Uganda’s entertainment industry.
