Former Kampala Central MP Latif Ssebagala has bitterly come out against Bebe Cool, demanding a public apology to Prince Kassim Nakibinge, Buganda, and the Muslim community for his attacking words when he was visited by Bobi Wine.
Speaking during an interview on local TV, Ssebagala revisited remarks Bebe Cool recently made while attacking his longtime music and political rival, Bobi Wine.
The controversy started on December 22, 2025, when Bobi Wine paid a courtesy visit to Prince Kassim Nakibinge Kakungulu, the titular head of Muslims in Uganda, at his residence in Kibuli. The two held a closed-door meeting before Prince Nakibinge later urged security agencies to respect human rights and ensure peaceful elections.
Bobi Wine also spoke positively about the engagement, calling it a meaningful discussion.
However, Bebe Cool later reacted angrily, claiming it was disrespectful for Prince Nakibinge to meet Bobi Wine, whom he described as a Catholic and his known rival.
Those comments didn’t sit well with Latif Ssebagala.
Ssebagala said Bebe Cool crossed the line by dragging religion and Buganda into political and personal battles, calling the remarks offensive and divisive.
He insisted that Prince Nakibinge has every right to meet any Ugandan leader regardless of religion or political affiliation and said Bebe Cool must apologise for disrespecting the institution, Buganda, and Muslims.
