Carol Kay

Carol Kay is a Ugandan Artist hailing from Kenjonjo, Tooro sub region in Western Uganda. She was born on June 03rd (Uganda Martyrs day) and given a name Kabajulizi Caroline after the Uganda martyrs.

She attended Kicuucu P/S, Ave Maria secondary School in Kyenjojo & St. John School of Nursing in Ntungamo where she enrolled as professional nurse.

Carol joined commercial music in 2015, with two singles (Nkugambe, Otanswaza) and collaboration (Oije orare) with Holy boy using a stage name Carol Slender before she changed it to Carol Kay. She’s currently signed to deconcept music.

Carol says she was inspired by Juliana Kanyomozi way back in 2004 when she was young and grew up miming most of Juliana Kanyomozi’s songs.

Carol sings in Rutooro language and is one of the artists in Uganda who use their talent to promote their culture and language throughout the world.
