After a Premier League recess of nearly two weeks following the death of Queen Elizabeth and the international break, the best League is back with the North London Derby headlining the fixtures.
Rarely have we seen the derby come about with Arsenal at the top of the table and Tottenham Hotspurs third, this only speaks volumes as regards how competent the fixture will be.
Arsenal have had a splendid performance that has seen them lose only one match and winning the rest of the opening matches (6) whereas Spurs stand third, only a point less of the gunners and stand unbeaten this season.
The fixture binds two in-form sides with Olexander Zinchenko, William Saliba, Gabriel Martineli, Bukayo Saka, Fabio Vieira all at the top of their performance not forgetting new arrival Gabriel Jesus who has had seven goal involvements (4 goals and 3 assists).
The same applies to Spurs, with Richarlison at his best, Harry Kane and Son Huen Min who has of recent had his form rejuvenated. In addition to the trio is Dejan Kulusevski whose contribution to the club can’t be underlooked though he looked slightly injured enroute to the fixture.
The fact that Spurs pipped Arsenal to a top four finish last season adds more tension to the fixture and we look to see who will win the tie that is the early kick off for Premier League on Saturday 1st October, 2022.
