Biography

Women football in Uganda is taking an up thrust witnessed in the increasing young talents making lucrative deals abroad for professional football.

Here we bring to you Nalunkuuma Martha Bbosa, an eighteen year old lady playing professional football for Democratic Republic of Congo side Ituri.

Born in Lungujja to Bbosa Steven and Nakibinge Monica, Nalunkuuma went to Rines Secondary school and Pride College, Mpigi where she finished her O’ and A’ Level respectively.

Her playing career flourished at Rines Football Club (2015-2016) and her performance got her a deal at Lady Doves who she played for between 2018 and 2019. She later left for Bulenga side Ajax Queens and played for them from 2020-22.

Her splendid performance as a holding and creative midfielder at the three sides caught the eyes of DR Congo side Ituri FC who she later joined in 2022 and currently playing for.

At the club, Nalunkuuma plays alongside fellow Ugandan and friend Immaculate Kizza who plays as a striker. Inside sources indicate the two are close to signing a deal with Don Bosco FC, another bogey side in the country.
