If you have been watching NBS Television News thes past few months, theres a common voice behind different investigative reports that normally leave people crying or heart touched, here we try to show you the person behind them, Henry Mugenyi.
What caught Blizz Uganda attention most was his most recent project, "The Cut", a story that focused on female genital mutilation in sebei subregion and "The Predators of Busoga", released back in June.
Who is Henry Mugenyi?
Henry Mugenyi is a Health News Reporter for NBS Television, a brand under Next Media services Uganda since 2019.
Over the years, he has taken on different roles from a Youth TV host on Nbs MixUp to Nbs Youth Voice and now a house hold name when it comes to health news reporting in Uganda and in the east African region at large.
Henry is also live reporter for Uganda’s leading current affairs show NBS Morning Breeze, reports on live news events contributing to the newsroom daily and weekly stories and features with a deep interest in investigative reporting.
Apart from being an enthusiastic reporter, Henry Mugenyi is a well certified journalist who studied Journalism and Mass communication and public health.
Henry Mugenyi has won National and International awards in Health Reporting including; Health Reporter of the Year 2021 (Heroes In Health Awards, HIHA), WHO/icfj road safety reporting contest in Uganda 2021 and so many others.
It looks like his potential has not yet been explored to its fullest as his reports always leave Ugandans and everyone watching from allover the world craving for more.
