With only close to a month left to the kickoff of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League, the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has passed only three teams as being ready for the season as regards the FUFA club licensing committee.

FUFA posted, “The following clubs are fully compliant and qualify to be issued with the Club License to participate in the Uganda Premier League 2022/23 season:KCCA FC,BUL FC and Vipers SC.

This is a real point to weakness of the league clubs that only three of sixteen clubs are legible to play in the league with only one month left to kick off. Clubs require to submit among others, the U17 team, coaching staff, a pitch with perimeter fence and licensed players.

The rest of the clubs clubs were granted a Provisional License pending Inspection of their stadiums by the Club Licensing Committee. The Stadium Inspection for these clubs shall be conducted from the 1st - the 5th of September 2022.

FUFA and the league committee are therefore tasked with teaching these clubs how to market themselves so as they get money to run the day to day activities.

FUFA also can involve government to help subsidize sports equipments and also tax them less so as clubs find it easier to try and develop themselves.

These clubs below are all yet to fulfill the registration requirements, Sports Club Villa, Express FC,Wakiso Giants FC,Busoga United FC, UPDF FC,Soltilo Bright Stars FC,Maroons FC,Onduparaka FC,URA FC,Arua Hill SC,Gaddafi FC and Blacks Power FC
