Uganda Martyrs University made it to the knockout stage of the Pepsi University Football League for their 6th consecutive time after thrashing Ndejje University 5-0 today Tuesday in Nkozi.
Result sees Uganda Martys top Group E with 12pts from their 6 games thereby automatically progressing to the knockout stage this season.
Meanwhile Kampala University finished 2nd with 10pts after defeating Gulu University 3-0 in the other game played today Tuesday at Kibuli and will have to await the results from the other groups to see if they qualify as one of the two best Runners-Up in the groups of 4 teams.
Ndejje University finish the season 3rd with 7pts while Gulu finish 4th with 6pts.
Action in the Pepsi University Football League continues tomorrow Wednesday with Kabale University hosting Bishop Stuart University at their campus in Kabale.
Bishop Stuart currently top Group C with 6pts from 3 games and a win will see them progress to the knockout stage.
However, Kabale University still have a chance if they win their remaining 2 games against Bishop Stuart tomorrow and Kyambogo on Monday.
