As the 2022 Masaza Cup Edition draws nearer, Buwekula Saza Team has been launched on Saturday 4th June 2022 at GTC Cargo offices in Luwuum Street in Kampala.
The runners up for the last Masaza Cup tournament announced how they retained their head coach Frank Mulindwa who will be deputized by Kitindidde Frank and Basa Soccer Academy coach Musa Nsubuga as the first and second assistant coaches respectively.
The team will have Mutebi Tonny as the Trainer whereas former Uganda Cranes goalkeeper Hamza Muwonge will be the team’s goalkeeping coach. The team also maintained Joseph “Becks” Kyambadde as their Technical Director and Minyaro Kisitu as the team manager.
Buwekula also announced GTC, a cargo transporting company dealing in delivering cargo from abroad as their major sponsor for the season. Speaking on behalf of the company, Marketing manager Daniel Ssemuddu promised everything as needed by the team will be availed.
Unlike in the last edition where Buwekula had Hon. Hajji Bashir Ssempa, the Member of Parliament for Mubende Municipality as the team patron, Micheal Muhereza Ntambi will this time round take the responsibility as the team Patron. He will be joined by Mubende district woman MP Hope Grania Nakazibwe.
Buwekula are two time Masaza Cup runners up, losing 1:0 to Bulemeezi in 2012 and 2:0 to Buddu in March this year.
Speaking ahead of this tournament, Buwekula head coach Frank Mulindwa promised success only after they embarked well on the mistakes that saw them lose to Buddu in the last Edition.
The 2022 Masaza Cup tournament is set to open late in June 2022 in Masaka as winners Buddu will host a team any of the teams in their group,
