In 2019, internet went into total craziness when photos of actress and media personality Martha Kay were leaked online by Herbert Arinaitwe, a city businessman.
Apparently, Martha who had released a comic skit of ‘Range Rover’, fled to Kenya as she could not handle the street talk.
The Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI) swung into action and arrested Herbert Arinaitwe on July 11, 2019.
He was charged and remanded to Luzira Upper Prison where he has since been. He applied for bail in the High Court saying that Martha Kay took the pictures herself and insists that he was flamed.
Arinaitwe is also accused of aggravated robbery and blackmail. It is alleged that on April 11, 2019, Arinaitwe drugged Martha Kay and robbed her two mobile phones; a Samsung Galaxy and an iPhone, both valued at 6m. He also stole the victim’s money purse containing an ATM card, driving permit, and 400k.
