Mbarara City FC Held by Bul FC at Kakyeka Stadium

The Uganda Premier League saw one match played on Monday 28th March 2022 between hosts Mbarara City also known as “The Purple Sharks” and Jinja side Bul FC. The match ended in a 1 all draw with Solomon Okwalinga and Ibrahim Nsimbe scored for the respective sides.

The draw, eighth of the season for the Oil manufacturers (10W& 5L) keeps them fourth on the sixteen team log on 38 points, eleven less of leaders Vipers whereas Mbarara City remain wandering in the relegation zone in 15th position with 19 points from only 4 wins, 7 draws and 12 Losses needing two points to get out of the red zone.

However, Mbarara City’s next three fixtures give some hopes of survival with UPDF, SC Villa and Police FC lined up as the next three opponents not so worrying as they have not potrayed much threats in their last outings.

The Uganda Premier League returns on Tuesday 29th March with three matches lined up on the menu. KCCA FC will hope to take on URA from second position when they host Bright Stars at MTN Phillip Omondi Stadium whereas Gaddafi will host UPDF and Express FC will play host to Police at Wankulukuku Stadium.
